Crimson Education, co-founded by New Zealander Jamie Beaton is nearing NZ$1 billion in global sales, a milestone that highlights the growing impact of Kiwi-founded businesses operating at scale across international markets.

Founded in 2013 by Jamie Beaton, Crimson has grown into a global company with a presence in more than 20 countries, including a strong operational base in the United States. Its personalised approach to supporting students into top global universities, including in the Ivy League and UK, is underpinned by a distributed workforce model that spans borders.

Crimson’s story reflects the growing opportunities for New Zealand entrepreneurs and businesses to scale internationally, particularly through deepening ties with the US in education, digital services, and innovation.

As part of the NZUS Council’s 2025 Media Fellowship, Madison Malone’s reporting explores these dynamics, offering insights into how trans-Pacific relationships can support New Zealand’s contribution to the global knowledge economy.
