Immigration Minister Erica Stanford is visiting the United States this week, leading a delegation of private sector and investment representatives to showcase New Zealand’s Active Investor Plus visa and strengthen economic connections with the US.
Since the visa’s reform earlier this year, more than NZ$1 billion in proposed investment has been registered, with the United States the leading source of applications. This reflects strong investor confidence in New Zealand as a stable, innovative, and sustainable destination for long-term capital.
The delegation’s programme spans New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, where the Minister will meet with investors to highlight New Zealand’s advantages including political stability, a skilled workforce, a clear pathway for investor migration, and a welcoming business environment.
NZUS Council welcomes this initiative to deepen economic links between New Zealand and the United States. International investment not only brings capital but also expertise, networks, and opportunities for New Zealand businesses to grow, create jobs, and compete globally.
