Minister for Agriculture, Trade and Investment Todd McClay will travel to Saudi Arabia and the United States this week for a series of meetings to strengthen trade and investment ties.

In Washington, D.C. he will meet with the U.S. Trade Representative, Secretary of Agriculture, and industry representatives. Discussions will include the US decision to introduce new tariffs and what this means for New Zealand exporters.

We wish the Minister well for his visit and hope the meetings will cast light on how New Zealand can be restored to the baseline tariff rate.
